Looking to see if anyone found a solution. I tried to start an expedition on Bungle Wasteland and my helicopter is stuck on the ground with 2 janitors stuck  inside. I can't demolish the helicopter pad, tried restarting and redownloading the whole game but the bug is still there. I can't progress in the level because the expedition was for supplies and I can't send another helicopter to that destination. I really don't want to restart the whole game again. TIA 😊

I have the same problem. Two of my staff members seem to have disappeared. I can see them in the list, but they are invisible and I cannot fire them, pick them up, etc. Their status is "leaving: expedition". The helicopter is locked and I cannot abort the mission or delete the helicopter. If I delete the entire museum, the helicopter remains. This is a huge issue, because now I can't visit the location anymore and cannot progress. However, I have no way of restarting either. 

Just expand the building, that the helicopter pad will destroy. Destory and rebuild it. (And maybe fire the empolyee to be save)

Apologies that you're experiencing this bug! 

The work around currently is to force the helicopter back into you inventory. You can do this by using the Drag Demolish tool
