do developers even play their game? training staff now takes 2x the time for some reason, i tried looking at steam for news about the update where they said that they only fixed some radiators and sandbox saves. NOTHING ELSE.. so why does training staff now take twice the time? updrading someone from lvl 1 to 2 takes the same time as leveling someone from 9 to 10 when i played yesterday without the great update. And lets not talk about the poor problems with placing windows on a wall thats next to the end of the territory or copying rooms and then having collision problems with furniture inside the room thats copied exactly the same but it worked before, collision with window (for example its red says there is a problem with a window so i pick it up place it back on the same spot and no collision problem *poof* magic) it just gets annoying quickly... i even noticed new icons when the room is full and at first i was like whaaat happened but then i realized they just dont care about actually listing all the things they changed in the Release Notes. Would be nice if u get a game tester to your team and fix all these problems. Im going to stop playing this because im not willing to spend 30 minutes upgrading my teacher to lvl 10 when yesterday it took half the time. But the game has potential, just keep the fixes going and care about quality of life improvements like the staff recruitment window not closing every time you buy a staff member so i dont have to click another 3 times to get to the janitor window again to get another one

Given the problems seem to have been across all platforms, it does beg the question if it was tested on any of the platforms.

I'm a switch user, and I've not played for a few weeks now because of how unplayable it is in its current state - even given the platforms power limitations, the fact its the same issues across other platforms suggests its a deeper issue.

Switch isn't on 1.4 yet, but this doesn't fill me with hope.

Hi there,

We've asked our QA team to look into the issue you're having with staff training, if you wouldn't mind uploading a screenshot of the room so we can see what's happening that would be great.

We are aware there are some issues with item placement at the moment, our team are working to improve this with each of the bigger updates. Again though, if you have a screenshot of the room, that really helps us!

This change was documented in the 1.4 patch notes (3rd from the top of the screenshot below). The patch has been out on Steam for a while, so if that's the platform you're playing on, it could be that your PC didn't download the update for some reason!

We understand these issues are frustrating to deal with and our team are working hard to get fixes out.

Hey! Sorry for the wall of text but i didnt expect anyone to even look at this. Unfortunately im playing on the PC game pass and not on steam and i noticed they dont push out updates so i might have been playing on some of the older versions of the game and the latest update i got was this one so i only checked the latest new patch on steam since steam is the main platform most people use and i will eventually have to get the game there on discount but now i had a good deal for the game pass to try some games out.

My game version now is 1.4.44989.0 and i cant seem to find a way to go back to the older version to really test out the training time.

My training room usually just has prestige 4 with 3 big windows and 3 circuit boards and the upgrade station. For example upgrading from 1 to 2 now takes 56 seconds, upgrading from 9 to 10 takes 2 minutes 11 seconds (with the machine at level 3 and game speed set at fast), so that would be around 15 minutes of just the upgrade time to get someone to max level in one profession excluding the break time and so on which i cant even imagine how much would take. Im pretty sure it wasnt like this before because i have a feeling it took me around 10 minutes on fast speed to get someone to max level before the update.

Screenshot of the training room shown below:

And im really happy that you include all the changes in the patch notes but as i said unfortunately i dont have the game on steam since i have been just trying it out on the game pass which isnt really good when it comes to expecting them to regularly push out updates.. its not the first time this happened. My main platform is steam but i dont wish spending 40€ for a single player game, dont get me wrong the game is nice but i prefer online games and i just had a taste for something new and im glad i tried this game. I wish you good luck with making new content for the game and making it more enjoyable!

No need to apologise at all! We're always here to listen to any feedback or bugs :)

Ah! This makes sense, thank you for clarifying! We'll always post platform-specific patch notes on this forum here, so you'll be able to see the notes for PC Game Pass in the [XB/MS] threads. You're also more than welcome to put a new thread up if you're wondering where the next patch is - we'll be here to give as much info as we can!

This is really useful, thank you! I'm going to pass this on to our QA team with your screenshot, they'll be able to confirm if something's gone wrong.

Updates should come fairly regularly to Game Pass, we want to keep parity between all platforms as much as we can. This particular one took a little longer than we'd usually aim for, as it was quite a big one. So if there's an update on Steam, it's likely we'll be working on it coming to PC Gamepass and consoles too! (We have to keep PC Gamepass and Xbox in sync with each other to avoid any issues with cross saves).

Really glad to hear you're enjoying the game for the most part, especially as it's not your usual thing! I'll get those training details over to QA :)
