This thread is self explanatory, but just encase it isn't, here are some guide lines.

1: Be realistic.

if you want something crazy like a massif blue cheesy goblin statue, please sand your request to one of the steam workshopers.

2: be Practical.

think about what could be useful in your museum, decoration types you think that are missing or are under represented, maybe even a room you think is needed.

3: 99% of ideas are not bad.

even if it's just a new type of bin, don't feel afraid to share your ideas. unless it's a something that helps thefts escape, what's wrong with you?

my personal idea's go as followed:

1: outdoor fences.

have out door areas without the trouble of wise guy taking a sneaky short cuts. from normal wood fences to gothic one's, there should at least be one for each theme.

2: posters.

at the moment only the bathroom has posters, this just won't do. i don't just want themed based one's but also advert type posters and general two point based references. let's deck the halls in colourful nonsense.

3: a library.

this is a museum for crying out loud, where is the literary archive? not just to enriched the minds of the guests but also to send in some staff for a bit of light reading, in other word a dedicated XP leveling area. i do think however that this should be earned with expeditions to recover old documents form the various maps only after you already you 5 star'd that theme's dedicated museum. the documents would be like exhibits and apply a leveling buff of various amounts based on it's condition and rarity up to 1.0% per placed item, and yes no overlap between different velds of expertise.

But those are just my suggestions, share your screw ball ideas in the comments. maybe i will read them, but let's be fair, i probably won't.

Hello,

Thanks for these suggestions!

I've added them all to our list of community suggestions that we review each week.

Feel free to add anything else you think of!

Thanks,

Chizel

I think they have nailed what they have done so far with all decorations. I would say the MORE the MERRIER! Specifically more of the nature/greenery/rock decorations. Those are the pieces that fill in the gaps of an exhibit and really make it unique. More ferns models, more flower models, more rock models, more tree models. Even just one more model of each would be massive.

Some good ideas's there. I really want outdoor fencing – I currently use benches and flower pots to funnel guests. Even a small slalom helps stop thieves from sprinting straight off the map and gives security time to respond.

  1. Staff-only external doors – I’ve got a staff-only area with training and staff rooms, plus an external door straight to the choppers. Guests sometimes try to use that door and get stuck.
  2. More window styles – Unless I’ve missed something, I’ve only unlocked plain small and large windows. Gothic arches or portholes would be a brilliant addition.
  3. More colour options – It would be great to recolour items like rugs, not just change patterns. Even plain ones we could customise would help break up visual repetition.
  4. Hologram Guides – Like Talking Statues, but life-sized figures that "speak" about artefacts or displays.
  5. Dress-Up Stations – A chance for guests to try on themed or historical outfits in-game or via augmented mirrors.
  6. Realistic museum props – Things like hazard tape fences or “Work in Progress” / “Under Restoration” signs would be fun for theming areas under development.
  7. More murals – Always good to have more for customisation and theming.
  8. Projector or display area – A room or workshop item where guests can sit and watch a themed video (e.g. moon landings, deep sea dives, hauntings caught on camera). These are common in real museums and would add atmosphere and immersion.
