As we know there is a Feature called Shiny Objective “Expose 5 Criminals” of Meseum Security.. It was proved that it cannot be done by camera and guards, it need your manually clicking to find the thieves. So the question is, how do I know who is thief among those million guests? No methods, no tutorials, seems you can just only splash each guest to bet they will show the true form, or just wait for thier angry rebuke. I wander what matter of luck aside can finish this objective.

I haven't seen the objective in question, but I have revealed thieves when certain criminal groups are operating in the museum. Easiest one was the group that comes out of bathrooms. Just watch the bathrooms in slow time and pay attention for people coming out who didn't enter. I do not see this working with the mole group since they are automatically revealed as thieves from what I've seen. There's one other group I've encountered but I didn't put much effort into tracking them down.

I have the shiny sticker for this.

Play the Security Pop Up museum, delete all but one bathroom and watch that bathroom carefully during “Boggymen” waves. Boggymen will appear from a cubicle without the door-opening animation (because the door will already be open), ~3 per wave. Click on and reveal them before they leave the bathroom and they’ll run back and escape through a toilet.

This method appears to also count for the Panopticon Pillar II -> III upgrade objective, even if there isn’t one in the museum.

Can someone also please explain the logic behind 'catching' thieves vs identifying them and letting them flee?

All catching them seems to do is tie up one of my security guards escorting them off the premises (obviously assuming you're spotting and catching them before they actually take anything).

Thank you so much for this! I've been struggling getting this sticker and the Panopticon Pillar II -> III upgrade objective for some time now. I will try what you say. Again, thank you!

In the upcoming update (currently still in beta on Steam), guards will actually get experience for this, so it might become worthwhile if you’re on the beta version or after the update goes live. Maybe? Depending on how much micro-management you want to do.

Hello!

Once you have access to the Panoptic Pillar, this item will help you with objectives to reveal thieves.

The pillar will make noise and give a visual queue if a thief is near by, but only if they have not been revealed yet.

To reveal a thief yourself, click on the guest and in the inspector you will see a reveal thief button.

I hope that helps!

Thanks,

Chizel

Can you hear the sound and see the visual cue if you’re not directly looking at the part of the museum that it goes off in? Had one in my musuem but I swear with all the sounds in the game, I’m not sure if I’m missing it or it’s not working?
