I'm experiencing an extremely game breaking bug, as in breaking the whole game, not just a savegame.

Yesterday my girlfriend and I bought the game on GOG. We played just fine, got three stars on the first hospital and decided to call it a night. Then today we wanted to start the second hospital, but the level never loaded. So I restarted the game, no change. I tried the first hospital, corrupted save and neither of the buttons (revert backup and restart level) in that pop-up menu work. Ok, let's try manually reverting backups, no luck. I then tried a new save slot and ended up getting stuk in the tutorial. Whenever the green checkmark finish the room button is clicked on the tutorial GP room the game breaks. The room itself stays in a black outline (see screenshot) and that's it. The game notices it's there, you can't build new rooms over it, you can add items to the room (the wall are recognised when placing a hand sanatizer). But nothing advances. Going back to the menu and loading that save shows the corrupt savegame menu again.

So I gave up on the savegames and did the following: Ok, let's fully uninstall the game. I made sure that everything was removed, the whole folder in the AppData\LocalLow and the install folder. Both seemed to be properly gone. I turned off the cloud backup to make sure we had a fully fresh start. I installed the game and well, same issues persisted. The only thing I can see that is still present is the superbug/worldwide bug projects. Somehow those are still there. I haven't been able to reset the first tab of that for some reason, so perhaps that's where the issue is?

Please help us, we were having a lot of fun in the first two hours we played, but seem to now be completely locked out of ever playing the game.

So sorry to see you have had an issue like this!

I will be passing this feedback on to GOG as it is them who will need to implement a fix. 

In the mean time a player on the GOG forums might have a workaround that can help you. You can find it here.
