The Cheesy Gubbins inspector has stopped walking around the 2nd campus and is ‘stuck’. I tried to get it to move by moving the room they were in and it didn’t fix it. Have also placed rooms on top of the NPC and it just jumps it to outside of the room. Any ideas how to fix this please as I am now stuck with a frozen NPC and unable to get the money bonus from completing the inspection. Coming out of the campus and game does not solve the issue.

Sorry to hear that!

The programming team are aware of this and are working hard to find a fix. At this time the only way we know of to remove an NPC in this state is to restart the level. As this event does not count towards any level stars, you can leave it and continue without penalty if you do not want to lose your progress.

I experienced the same thing on the same campus with a different inspector. He's just in a permanent stuck mode until he dies I assume.

Sorry you have also had an inspector get stuck!

As mentioned, we are aware of the issue and hope to resolve it as soon as possible.

At this time, a restart of the level is the only way we know of to get rid of them. If you do not want to lose your progress, then you can continue and won't be affected by the stuck NPC in any way other than aesthetically.

Update: same issue on Spiffinmore. 3 students came to view the school and are now ‘stuck’ due to the end of academic year happening at the same time they were touring.

I've observed I'm 5 months late joining the conversation and I've read the comments that this is a known issue among the TPC team that Inspectors are getting stuck. I'm reporting that this still seems to have gone unpatched as I'm experiencing the same issue. As a participant in the Challgene Mode for Feb 2023, Cupid is getting stuck.  As it was suggested before, restarting the mode will reset the NPC but during a Challenge Mode; I'm sure it can be sympathized that this is a very frustrating thing to happen and not ideal. Having to restart when youre so close to Gold; is a different type of hell, if you will.  I'd like to request if this can be looked into and patched for future events, so this known issues won't occur again. Thank you for posting.

The problem with this issue is that it can manifest itself in many different ways. We are making tweaks to resolve the more common causes as and when we find them.

With the case of Cupid getting stuck, we have reopened the bug because this was initially thought to be fixed when we launched the Valentines challenge. Are you able to tell me more about what happens before Cupid gets stuck and what platform you are on?
