Basically every time I try to change the time of an event (tried a student union party and a student lounge party) it swaps to trying to schedule a film instead.

Atm you had to plan it over the calender view, see my post "PS5 Patch 1.4"

Had this same bug just start happening today. Even if I try and schedule it through the calendar. I'm on the Xbox btw

Sorry you are having trouble!

We have this issue in the database and are working to fix it. 

In the mean time, other players have said that the best way to schedule an event is to go to the room directly and select the events calendar from there.

From what I can tell is the cursor is still on the event selection screen as well the event settings screen. when you move the cursor on the rooms timetable it also moves on the selection screen. I was able to get the events I want to be at the times I wanted but i had to figure out how many places past the date I wanted to go for it to be the right event. 

I am having same issues on ps4, no matter how I go to calender screens, unless I want an event at that exact time, it selects other rooms events when I move calender slider, makes things almost impossible 

Found the same issue on the Switch! Trying to set up an SU Party from a Personal Goal Request message. When I go to try and change the time, the black arrow indicators disappear, and I end up scrolling through the film options rather than date options! Haven’t tried the other fixes (like setting up from the SU room directly) will report back, but figured I’d get my comment in!

I am also having this issue on Xbox and can can confirm that the work around provided by DaniiMarsh works, though this is very long winded if you have lots of rooms

We are confident that this issue will be fixed in our next update to version 1.5. 

I cannot confirm when the update will launch on consoles, but Steam players can currently partake in the 1.5 beta. You can check out our current list of fixes in store for 1.5 here.
