Hiya,

I'm hoping you can help. I preordered the game, and have yet to be able to play it for more than 10 mins due to the game crashing and switching off my laptop.

I've triple checked the specs, and I have more than the minimum requirements needed to run the game. I've updated everything I can think of, I've tried following several different troubleshooting guides, and have reached a dead end basically. Is there any help you could possibly give me to hopefully let me play the game?

Thanks :)

Hiya,

Do you have an email I can possibly send the info to, as it won't let me attach it to this thread, it just says 'something went wrong' ironically, lol

Hey VikingDoug!

Sorry about that! You can send the file to campus-support@twopointstudios.com :) Please be sure to put your username from here in the email.

Thanks!
Jax

Thank you for sending that over so quickly!

The team and I have taken a look into this and think we may have a solution. Could you verify if this resolves the issue:

To make the nVidia graphics adapter the primary graphics processor on the system, open up the NVIDIA Control Panel>Manage 3D settings. From the drop-down list under Preferred graphics processor: you can choose either Auto-select, nVidia, or Intel graphics solutions:

Let us know if this resolves the issue or if it is still occurring.

Thank you very much for your patience!

Hi Jax,

I had already tried that and it sadly didn't work. I have also tried the following steps;

Checking system requirements (we're above the minimum ones)

Disable full screen optimizations

Changed the in-game quality settings

Ran the game file as admin

Updated windows

Updated graphics drivers

Checked Direct X was up to date

Switched to dedicated GPU

Ended unnecessary background processes

Verified the game files via Steam

Disabled the Steam overlay while in game option

Disabled windows firewall

Added the game as an exception on the antivirus software

Set power options on laptop to high performance

We even replaced the battery in the laptop with a new one, as we wondered if that's what was causing the laptop to shut down, but we've had the laptop running for hours and it's fine, 5 mins of the game running, and it shuts off.

Any help or suggestions will be great thanks, as I'd love to play the game and not have to get a refund.

Thanks

I'm sorry that hasn't helped!

Would you be able to take a look in Reliability Viewer and check for any critical errors that may be appearing in there?

If you search for "View Reliability Monitor" the window will open and display the Red Xs where critical issues have occurred on the PC. Selecting a date you experienced the issue, and double clicking on the critical issue will give you full details of the problem encountered. If Campus appears in the list, please send the information to the Campus Support Email above that would be greatly appreciated! (Or any other mention).

Additionally, If you could send us your Two Point Campus folder it may have some information that would be of use! If you could go to this folder; C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Two Point Studios\ and zip the whole Two Point Campus folder to attach to the email as well that would be great.

Thank you!
