Windows 10 Game Pass: Denuvo 8850000 dosn't allow me to start the game

Hello, I installed the game through the Xbox App on windows 10 and when I try to start the game it shows the quick flash screen and then reports the following error:

"Please visit the following website for possible solutions: "

The link brings me to a broken inquiry (the "send" button doesn't work) site of Denuvo. The Error code mentioned in the link is 8850000.

 The automatic file checker of the Xbox App does also not work, as it gets stuck at 0%, while reinstalling completes it doesn't solve the issue.


It also seems like the game doesn't create any files to that point, so I can not share any crashdumps sadly.


Any advice on what I can try?

Thanks for the idea,

I only have the standard Windows Security and deactivating all the Firewalls and Anti-Virus tools in there did not help and led to the same error. 

Some things I also tried:

Reinstalling the Xbox App and reinstalling Windows Gaming services also did  not help.

Two Point Hospital also works fine, so it has to be about something new in TPC or its activation.


I would be very glad for more ideas!

I also just tried the automatic file checker and repair of the Xbox app again and it does complete now, but it doesn't solve the issue either.

I think I found the solution, it seems to be a very weird Windows account bug and your game was the only one that noticed.

What solved the problem was to add my University account to the Microsoft store, which either reset my normal account or something else was broken after I recently removed my old University account from Windows. Kind of funny that I needed my university account to play the university game, but very weird indeed.


I wouldn't have tried out more things without your answers, so thanks for that!
