So I'm not sure if this was designed this way, but in other levels of Two Point Campus, a normal tree only occupy the space of the tree trunk (if that makes any sense). That way, you could have a bench sitting in front of the tree trunk and have some of the leaves covering it. In Lake Tumble, I noticed that all the Seasonal Trees - Pear Shaped, Narrow and Huge - take up the entire space the tree encompass, so you can't put a bench, flowers, or anything in front of them. Is this an oversight? I like putting benches and statues and things near trees and this really affects my ability to do so.

Sorry for the late, late, laaaate reply! This image should show what I mean:

The first picture with the seasonal tree has a massive space it takes up, so I can't add flowers, benches or anything around the tree like the second image, where the square is only around the base of the tree trunk:
