2-Player Arcade Table Want Causes Freeze

I wasn't sure whether to put this here or send to Sega, because the game doesn't exactly crash, it just freezes until I force shutdown.

I'm playing the first campus and when I was aiming for 2 stars, I received a Personal Goal Request for a 2-Player Arcade Table. I paid the 100 Kudosh to buy it, then the game froze and I had to force close after about 10 minutes. Going back into the game, the 2-Player Arcade Table was still locked, but the Kudosh was gone.

I am now aiming for 3 stars and have received the same goal, but this time the game won't let me move off another request (for a Pulpitation Machine) to go to this request and check if it thinks I've already bought it. My game has been frozen for about 15 minutes so far.

When I go onto the game, my cursor turns into a spinning blue circle and if I click, the screen whites out and I get the TPC.exe is not responding message, with the option to wait or close.

If you need me to submit to Sega as well, I can, but wanted to share here first in case others have the same issue.

Hi Rydell,

That doesn't look too good. Have you tried verifying your game data, it might help in this scenario. If it still happens after that, could you send me your AppData for Two Point Campus, you should find it with the following address:

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Two Point Studios

Thanks,

Alexander

Thanks for the advice Alexander. I did as suggested and it verified everything no problem. I've since had the request for the 2-Person Game and Arcade tables pop up and have been able to complete fine.

However, it's now frozen with requests for a Smoothie Kiosk and Gothic Bookcase. I also just spent 100 Kudosh on a Virtual Normality Bookcase and while it still recognises that as being unlocked, I seem to have lost 100 Kudosh somewhere along the way that I had before the latest freeze.

Oddly enough, after verifying the game data, every time I restart the game, it lets me load using mouse no problem, but when I get to campus selection, tries to swap me over to controller. No idea why, it wasn't doing it before. But if I press circle to go back, it lets me go back to mouse and I can carry on like that. Weird.

I'll endeavour to send you my AppData in case there's something you see that makes sense of it all.

Hmm interesting, could you possibly repeat the personal goals and have your controller unplugged and see if you get the freezes anymore?

Other user's have seen different issues when they have a controller plugged in while they play on Mouse and Keyboard.

Thanks,

Alexander

I'll give it a test tomorrow when I'm back playing. It's currently after midnight here, so not an ideal time to go following my controller cable to try to unplug it. :)

I'll let you know how it goes either way. Thanks.

Hi Alex,

I removed the controller and have logged back into the game. Have only been playing for about five minutes and another request has appeared (this one an Assignment Request for Momentum Marbles) and it's frozen again.

I sent you a message regarding not being able to attach the AppData to send to you. Can you advise on what I should do next?

Hi Rydell,

If you're unable to send files over, can you write down the specifications of your machine so we can know the hardware. You can get a easy list of you machines specifications by opening selecting the magnify glass and typing in "dxdiag" this will open a window that shows off details about your PC.

This might help give us an idea of what to look for.

As for future suggestions we always advise be on the latest public release for Graphic Card Drivers and Windows updates where possible. You can also try to uninstall and reinstall the full game too as that has helped for some users.

Hi Alex,

Here's the results of the DxDiag:

I found after checking my computer for updates and running the one that only appeared today, I was able to play for about 20 minutes before it froze again. My graphic card drivers were already up to date.

Looking at my results, I'm wondering if the issue is because it doesn't seem to be registering my graphics card. I have a dock that my two monitors are connected to, which helps from alternating between work and play and am thinking that there might be some kind of interference happening there.

I'm not sure that that's really a resolution. I shouldn't have to pull out all my cables, crawl under my desk and reconnect them to the main PC just to play a game. Particularly when I have no issues with any other game (including Two Point Hospital). And then, if it works, that's my permanent fix? To constantly have to disconnect and reconnect my cables? Defeats the point of having a dock to make my life easier.

Sorry, I know you're just trying to help.
