I’ve just started playing on my switch & have gotten up to the “additional reading” tasks, where I must create a library. I can place all of the required items in the room & get green check marks for all - including the door. However there’s a big “Fix invalid items outside the room” notice that only goes away if I remove the door. Regardless of what order I start placing items, as soon as I place the door, this message shows up.

This means I’m unable to complete the library room and move on with the game, which is proving quite frustrating and disappointing. Hope to hear back with a fix soon!

From the sounds of it you might want to have a look around the campus building for any items that are causing "Fix Invalid Items outside of the room", they should have a Red icon above them to let you know which items are affected, adjusting those should resolve this problem for you.
