Sorry to see you're having trouble.
When you see this error, then there is usually an item in the museum that will have a red error box around it.
I think it's the section I've attached in your Museum.

When playing in sandbox mode, I went to change the main building of my museum and it won't let me. It tells me to "fix invalid items" but does not show any invalid items anywhere. There are no exclamation points anywhere, so I can't edit the building at all. I am unable to attach my Two Point Museum folder because it is too big.....
