Over the course of today, I noticed I started to have a much harder time making money.  I finally realized it's because I am no longer getting any of the $10,000 dream visit donations.  I'm currently working on my fifth star in Memento Mile and have approximately 400 guests in the museum.  Not a single guest has made a $10,000 donation despite many of them achieving their dream visit goals.  Attached in a screenshot you can see the  guest list sorted by highest donation, and the highest donation is only approx $5,500.  Monthly, I'm only getting $20-25k in donations whereas before it was usually at least $40k.

There's also the issue of many guests getting stuck, usually in the cafeteria, so that also plays a (smaller) role in making less money.
