Despite the event being disabled due to a combined Rank of 6 and it not being Fondue Season, expeditions to the Mozzastella location will always result in the Fondue Free Fall event and thus Fondue Shoes.

Step by step of the bug

Step 1

Have a space expert rank 6 or above

Step 2

Send said expert on an expedition to Mozzastella while it is not fondue season

Step 3

The fondue free fall event will happen and your expert will return with fondue shoes

I experience this as well. The event is disabled, but the expedition team member ALWAYS comes back with Fondue Shoes.
