Hi!
I would like to report that Event "Perfect Excavation" doesn't actually upgrade the exhibit quality although my expedition team encounters this event.
I have collected some data in Greasy Fields at Survey Level 3 and under Safe method. When the team doesn't encounter the "Perfect Excavation" event, the respective exhibit quality percentages from pristine to normal are 30%, 33%, 21% and 15% (tested 33 times); when the team encounters the "Perfect Excavation" event, the percentages are 26%, 37%, 22% and 15% respectively (tested 27 times). If the "Perfect Excavation" truly upgrade the exhibit quality, it should have a much higher Pristine quality and 0% Ordinary quality.
In contrast to "Perfect Excavation" event, either "Detailed" method or "Sneaky Survey" event would actually upgrade the exhibit quality as described. Under Survey Level 3 in Greasy Fields and without any other exhibit quality changing event, Detailed method would give 58%, 19%, 23% and 0% for pristine to ordinary exhibit (tested 26 times) and Safe method would give 30%, 33%, 21% and 15% respectively. There is a much higher possibility to gain Pristine quality exhibit and 0% Ordinary quality. Just as described!
I have not tested if “Perfect Excavation" would or would not work besides Greasy Fields.
