Have this too and it's also an issue for inspections. Always tells none of my contraptions are upgraded when they almost all on pristine

Step by step of the bug
Step 1
Make a fully upgraded (Level III / Pristine) custom contraption in the workshop.
Step 2
Observe that the quality of the custom contraption in inventory is 'Average'.
Step 3
Place the custom contraption in the museum.
Step 4
Place a tour stand and add the custom contraption to the tour.
Step 5
Observe that the quality of the tour is 'Average' even though the custom contraption is 'Pristine'.

The custom contraptions science exhibits created in the workshop contribute as 'Average' quality to Tours even if they are fully upgraded to 'Pristine' quality.
Additionally, these also show up as 'Average' in the inventory.
This means that any tour which includes these fully upgraded 'Pristine' custom contraptions will suffer from a quality penalty.
