Atleast you can kinda create one in the main building using kiosks and table seating.

Would be nice. Unfortunately, the students don't really seem to prioritize "healthy" food from kiosks over vending machines at the moment (not that they'd have time to get to it anyways).

This would be a good idea, food is a slight hassle on Campus at the moment. The stalls are good, but since they do most of the same thing, it can feel a little awkward to have to spread the food around. And even then, it tends to get crowded anyway. So having a spot that is large and can take more crowds as well have an expectation for a line would be better.

A campus dining or banquet hall would be great, especially for the knight/magic campuses

As a TPH player I was also surprised to find that this room type didn't make an appearance.

Absolutely, I completely agree with this, I was genuinely a little surprised to see that a room like this didn't already exist in the game - and the ways you could decorate it, like for Noblestead and Spiffinmoore or for something like Blundergrad even, I think it could be a very versatile room.

I feel like the Student Lounge pretty much already fills this slot? Shove a few fridges in the room and students are making/eating food and socialising.
